Threads of Hope – Missionary Ventures International
Countryside Christian Center has received more good news from a ministry we supported during the 2012 Missions Weekend! Al & Gail Barret from Threads of Hope reported that while in Kenya this past month, they had the big Grand Opening of the Maasai Threads of Hope Sewing Center in Ngoswani, Kenya. Close to 1000 persons attended. Guests included many pastors, local government leaders, chiefs, and the Bishop of the African Gospel Church. We had some excitement as the governor landed his helicopter in the compound (on the property) and gave a great talk, praising the 19 Maasai women completing their first sewing class that began in January of this year. He even pledged three million Kenya shillings for expansion of their program!
Big Praise the Lord! We are thankful to Countryside Christian Center for raising, $5,000 toward the construction of this building.
